Lowry strives to create natural-habitat settings for its inhabitants. See exotic birds, a children's petting zoo, a rare Indian rhino and Sumatran tiger. There's also a Manatee and Aquatic Center.

Directions:

Take I-275 to Sligh Ave. (Exit 31) west and follow the zoo signs to North Boulevard. We loved it. We visited all of the animals. The otters & manatees were our favorites. After a long visit the girls got to cool off in the fountains. Definately a must do in the Tampa area!-- Kacy
