Chandler Family Association to meet in Tampa, Florida The annual meeting of the Chandler Family Association will be September 15 and 16 in Tampa, Florida. The CFA is a worldwide organization with almost 700 members dedicated to the study of the history and genealogy of the Chandler surname. It is estimated, from the study of ancient British records, that there are approximately 150 genetically distinct Chandler families in the world. The Chandler DNA Project has so far identified more than 100 of them. A large library and genealogy research assistance are available at the meetings. The CFA meeting headquarters will be at the Marriott Westshore Tampa Airport, 1001 N. Westshore Boulevard. Walk-ins will be welcomed upon payment of a $20 meeting fee, which includes a one-year membership to the association. A dinner cruise on the Calypso Queen on Friday evening requires reservations and prepayment.
